With the hand-smocked Mei top, we ask you to participate in an experiment in circularity.

It started out life as the elaborate Swan, sewn before the pandemic. Days spent in quarantine changed the way you dress, however. Now you want more comfortable things to wear. Result: The Swan has been hanging unused in our workshop, representing waste of material and labor. 

At Good Luck, Humans, we always work towards waste reduction. We recycle our fabric scraps, and aim to sew just enough of what you will buy. 

But every now and then, we miss the mark. We sew more than what is needed. To solve this problem, we are taking the excess pieces and redesigning them.

We cut up the Swan, and used it to make this easy-to-wear top. 

By reusing materials that already exist, we reduce the need to create new resources from raw materials.

Free size. Runs small.

Fits until bustline 36 inches. Length is 34 inches. 

Model JC is 5'2" and usually wears sizes S.
