helen bib - dyed, black

Your urban armor, the Helen bib is meant as outerwear.

Wear it over your favorite T-shirt, a bandeau, or a long-sleeved button-down shirt. 

We used a reverse-dye method to deliberately stain fabric. Then we smocked the piece, enjoying how fabric manipulation altered the dyed designs. We like to think of the experience as an experiment  in subtraction and division. 

This Helen Bib is black, marked with rust.

Our smocking is done entirely by hand, by artisans who learned the craft from their mothers and grandmothers. 

Sewn from a cotton-linen blend.

Free Size.

Fits from bustline 32 to 40 inches. Length is 16 inches. Shoulder width is 16.5 inches.

Closes with side ties.

Our model Petra is 5'3" inches tall. She usually wears a size medium.
